Thank you to all that auditioned.
Important note for parents and students: We will be happy to discuss aspects of singing and dancing that your child can improve upon for next year but we will NOT discuss audition scores of your student or other students, or give a second audition. We will not reply to any emails submitted for 48 hours concerning the posted list. We suggest you wait to send an email using that same time frame.
Please keep in mind, we always have what is best for the program at the forefront of all the decisions that we make and those decisions are not always easy.
23-24 Choralier Roster- Here -Please read below if name is listed
23-24 Choralier Participants
Congratulations! Please read the following information carefully. As we head into the new season, we have a few new details that we need to confirm. First, the board DID pass the requirement of a $500 fee for extracurricular. This will include ALL singer/dancers for the Choraliers in the 23-24 season. We are still waiting to hear if the combo/tech will be the lower fee of $150 (which is what I am pushing for).
We want to be able to create a positive and equal season to what our program typically provides students and parents each year. After looking at our boosters out-of-pocket expenses and creating a budget, we feel we can do just that with minimal adjustments. Remember, we are totally self funded (aside from the supplemental contracts for directors). So just to get a show up and running is $8,000-$10,000 (song arrangements, licensing, choreography, contest registrations). This does NOT include costumes, hotels, food, etc. We are looking to cut back where we can to make our dollars stretch a little further.
For the 23-24 season, students who are singer/dancers will be required to pay a $400 fee to the BOOSTERS this year and $500 to the DISTRICT. This is a LARGE cut to our typical input into the BOOSTERS fund. We felt it best to keep the TOTAL cost (district $500 plus booster $400) the same as the $900 we typically charge. Our new boosters officers are already talking of new ways to fundraise for individual students and our general fund.
TOTAL cost as a singer/dancer will be the same at $900.
Band/Tech, let's assume that the cost will be $150 for DISTRICT fee and an additional $150 for BOOSTERS, making it a total of $300
Before we move forward, we need for EVERY person that is listed on the 23-24 roster to accept/decline their participation in the group, based on the finalized information regarding fees. See attached/linked Google Form. This will allow us to get clear/confirmed totals and get the ball rolling on our planning for the season.

More information to follow once we finalize our list. Students and parents, please check email in the coming days for additional information.
Thank you!
